23rd October 2010 Windsurfing: Bexhill Wind Direction: W Wind Stength: Light Surf / Sea State: Nice head high surf Air Temperature: Getting chillier Sea Temperature: Ok Weather: Variable??? Max Speed: Distance Covered: Missed the strong winds early on so pitched for Camber as midday high tides locally:-( Didn't just miss the strong wind, missed the sailable wind !!!!! Caught up with a few folks, watched FiremanSam and Carl give it a go on 5.7 / 6.0. Sails and bigger wave boards ..... Sam summed it up 'a ******* lot of work for 10 seconds of wave riding' ... Decided it wasn't happening so followed USurf via KFC to check out Bexhill. The waves looked sweet but wind was pretty light. Grabbed the get out of jail free card and rigged the Fly 10'0 with 5.7m Ice and caught an hour of float and surf from 3.30pm Not a great return on the expectation but the surf was pretty good :-) |
